February 12:

1025: Members called to chamber.

1030: House of Representatives Clerk Ian Harris read proclamation calling parliament
together. Usher of the Black Rod called members to Senate.

1055: MPs sworn in.

1117: New Speaker elected.

1151: Sitting suspended temporarily.

1430: MPs invited to presentation with Maj-Gen Jeffery in the Members' Hall.

1505: MPs called to Senate for Maj-Gen Jeffery's address.

1552: MPs returned to chamber. Prime minister announced the ministry and whips. Opposition
leader and Nationals leader announced leaders, deputy leaders and whips.
