Fed:Australians keen to take out home loans despite rate =2

Among the states .. the largest housing market in New South Wales clocked up a one
per cent increase in loans .. building on the 2.6 per cent rise in the previous month.

However .. the largest increases in February were in the ACT .. up 4.9 per cent ..

South Australia up by 3.2 and Victoria by 2.1.

Queensland rose by 1.7 per cent.

Home loan commitments in the Northern Territory dropped 7.6 per cent .. Tasmania fell
by 2 per cent .. and Western Australia declined by 1.1.

The average home loan across Australia is now 224 thousand 800 dollars.
