ALBANY -- Before the ink had dried on Nynex Corp.'s application Tuesday to offer long-distance service in its home territory, a vocal consumer utility group said it would oppose the move.
The Citizens Utility Board said its campaign against the filing will charge that Nynex has not met all 14 criteria required by law before a telecommunications company can offer both local and long-distance telephone service on its home turf.
